In class we have been reflecting on our year. I looked at the goals I set at the beginning of the year.Then I had to think about whether I have  achieved my goal or not.My goal was to get better at math's.

Today in Cybersmart we worked on a practice activity for Summer Learning Journey. The name of the art peace of art is called Dish Of Apples.This was made in 1876-77.The artist who drawn the original is called Paul Cezanne.

We have been learning about the purpose of an interesting blog post.

I have been learning how to write an interesting blog post.A blog post is to teach others,share what we have learned,feedback and feed forward.

I made a google  drawing for the purpose of an interesting blog post and looked down to see the google drawing.

I enjoyed the bit when we did the drawing template because i liked writing the characters sayings words.

Hello this is my book club blog post.

have you heard of a book club?

First we need to pick out a book that sounds interesting.We have to work with the people who choose the same book as you .Then, in your group you figure out how many pages we need to read each day. While we are reading each section we fill out our discussion tickets and on the tickets are figurative language,vocabulary,favorite paragraph,favorite part and discussion seed.

The book i'm reading is called RISING TIDE. It is about a boy called Ari who saves his koro.

Finally,we share the information from our tickets. Every one in the group has a job each day. Either Editor, Publicist,Translator and Illustrator. We then talk about out discussion seeds before filling out our booklet.

My Dream Room

How to narrow a topic.

This week we have been learning  how to take a watermelon into a seed. My watermelon was a culture and my slice was  whanau My seed was Maori.

Success Criteria:I took my big topic from a watermelon to a slice then to a seed force for a report

Reflection:I enjoyed the part when we got to write the watermelon and slice and the seed.

And I think what I found challenging was the part when you had to read the report.

The Very Nice Monster.

The Very Nice Monster

No one believes me, they think I'm lying but it’s really true, a big hairy monster lives under my bed and I can prove it. The claw’s were as long as a sword, it had white fur, it had very large teeth, he had Long fur, he had black eyes,he had three eyes, the little girl screamed so loud the monster went back under the bed. Then the mum came running really fast and the mum said ‘ARE YOU OKAY?!’ The girl said ‘There’s a monster under my bed!!’ The girl’s mum said there's no such thing  as monsters’ the girls mum walked out of covers and got scared. The monster got out from under the bed and pulled off the covers and smiled and said ‘don't be afraid little girl i'm a very nice monster!’ The little girl looked up at the monster and jumped and hugged the room. The little girl hid under the monster. The little girl's mum walked in the room and saw the little girl hugging the  big hairy monster. Then the monster. Then the girl’s mum walked away. Then the girl lived a happy life with the monster.

 This week we are learning to tell the weather forecast in te reo maori.
I Picked 5 rohe from the map and described the huarere and i chose, Ki Rotorua he ua, Ki  Whangarei he marangai, Ki Kaikoura ka heke te hukapapa, Ki Kaitaia ka pupuhi te hau, Ki Ahuriri ka whiti te ra.
I enjoyed  writing the 5 rohe And i think find challenging was filming the video.

The Best Work I’ve Ever Done

Yesterday we learned about Moon phases as a part of our maramataka study.

First I decided what my mahi toi would look like

Next, I began  my mahi toi. I started by doing the date with my pencil and title then I did different circles
for the moons and then I did a little sketch on the moons to make it a little bit darker then I showed the
teacher then I  made the moons and I took a photo on the floor then I sent it to my email.





The hardest part was copying the moons of the paper because it was a lot of work. I really enjoyed doing the  researching because it was lots  of fun!
